1. History
The university’s placement services used to
be part of the Guidance Office’s services. Realizing that the greatest need of
our graduates is assistance in seeking employment after college, Dr. Perez officially
formed the Placement Office in June 2008.
The office eventually became the Community Relations, Alumni & Placement Office
or CAPO in February 2009.
2. Distinguishing
features/ description
The office’s main task is to prepare graduating students as they enter the world
of work through trainings, assist them in seeking employment by conducting job referrals,
job fairs and on-site hiring events and to search for opportunities for improvement
for the graduates to become world-class professionals by establishing industry linkages. It continually serves the graduates
whenever they need assistance in seeking employment and wherever they are.
