INTRODUCTION |
|
It has been an acknowledged fact that Research is the lifeblood of every university.
It is a tool to attain a higher education institution’s goal of excellence. As one
of the quadruple of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) aside from instruction,
extension and production, research separates higher education from basic education,
hence; it is expected that the research outputs generate new knowledge in relation
to science and society.
The University of Batangas both as a mature institution of higher learning and as
the seedbed of excellence not only in the region but also in the country, through
its Center for Research and Publications is producing quality researches. It is
manifested by its journal publication, the Kalinangan Refereed Journal. The Center
has strong linkages with selected universities, local government units, non-government
organizations and industries which serve as an inspiration for the researchers to
undergo research projects with full support from the administration.

As the CRP also connotes Capability, Responsibility, Passion, it is highly expected
that in these more years to come the Center will generate and contribute a lot of
new knowledge to the society.

MISSION |
|
Research should be a fundamental and basic function of the University alongside
instruction, production and extension services. The Center shall create a gearing
itself to produce quality research towards the forefront of environmental studies,
engineering, science, mathematics, business and information technology for publication
in refereed journals.

VISION |
|
The Center for Research and Publications envisions a strong research arm which will
foster creativity and innovativeness to meet the challenges and constraints to national
and international development. |

OBJECTIVES |
|
Research is the lifeblood of the university. To this end, the research objectives
of the university shall:
|
|
|
redirect and refocus both basic and applied research in support to national and
global development thrusts;
|
|
|
develop an appropriate technology transfer program;
|
|
|
develop a mutually beneficial partnerships or establish local and international
linkages;
|
|
|
produce quality researches for publication in refereed journals;
|
|
|
assist the university in income generation and cost–cutting measures;
