UB Engineering, Forerunner in the Region |
UB’s College of Engineering, headed by its passionate Dean, Engr. Henry I. Cabatay, has never failed in its zeal to be successful in various Engineering licensure examinations. From the May 2010 Civil Engineering Board Examination result, UB garnered a passing rate of 64% compared to the national passing of 36.28%. This places UB second to the University of the Philippines-Los Baños as Top Performing School in the CALABARZON area.
In the last quarter of 2009, the Electrical Engineering was conferred Top Performing School nationwide producing two topnotchers namely Engr. Richard M. Guba (4th placer) and Engr. Emilyn Mae S. Matibag (7th placer). Similarly, the College of Engineering has been consistent in terms of its exemplary performance in the past licensure examinations. With its notable feat, the college hopes to be recognized as a Center of Excellence in the nearest future.
