ISO 9001 is a globally distinguished standard used by educational institutions to appraise and monitor their quality efforts for continual improvement. This enables the school to focus more on its stakeholders -- thus opening the lines of communication among students, parents, teachers, school employees and other members of the academe.
ISO Certification leads to increased awareness and appreciation of the quality education that a certified school can offer. It responds to the need for change and improvement in a manner that is student-oriented and objective-driven to reach performance excellence. It paves the way for a more innovative and globally-accepted curricula adhered to by ISO-certified schools.
Today, most companies seek ISO 9001 certification as a global benchmark in offering quality service to their clientele. Once a school is certified, it prepares its students to understand and practice quality standards. The ISO culture acquired while in school continues to be practiced as they enter the workplace. This can bridge strong linkages with ISO-certified institutions that answer the demand for On-the-Job trainees. Moreover, local and international employers have greater interest to employ graduates from ISO-certified schools since they are already trained to conform to global standards.
*Anglo Japanese American (AJA) Registrars is the certifying body that granted the Registration Certificate to University of Batangas.
