The College of Education, in consonance with the university’s commitment to pursue knowledge, academic excellence and the development of the human person and worker, believes in providing the students with the quality of teacher education programs designed to produce locally and globally competent and professionally competitive leaders and teachers who are abreast with current trends in the pedagogy and information technology, aware of their responsibilities in the community and responsive to the demands of the Philippine society.
The UB College of Education plays an active role in the community by adopting one remote barangay where students provide pre-school education to kids five years old and below. Thus, it remains true to UB’s commitment of providing education that knows no distance or status in life.

Bachelor of Secondary Education
This program is for young people who desire self-fulfillment in life and who wish to have careers imparting knowledge at the secondary level of education. It provides holistic training in the tradition of UB excellence for aspiring and prospective high school teachers. Students are trained to become effective, efficient, committed, creative and compassionate facilitators of learning. The fields of specialization available for students to take are English, Filipino, General Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Physical Education, Health and Music (PEHM), Computer Education, Technology and Home Economics (THE) and Library Science.
Bachelor of Elementary Education
This program is for those who have genuine love for and talent in working with very young children and who desire careers in the molding of minds at the formative stage – gifts which, in essence, amount to a calling to elementary education. It provides excellent training for aspiring and prospective elementary school teachers to develop teaching skills and competencies. Student of the program undergo practice teaching and conduct educational research writing. Study grants are made available by the University to the most qualified students.
