PROFILE |
|
|
Established in 1950’s, the Elementary Department of the University of Batangas now
is not only a training institution for students of the College of Education but
also a separate body which provides quality education to children in the city proper
and in the nearby towns.
The department which offers a complete pre-elementary and elementary education aims
to develop among its pupils the different skills and competencies necessary to keep
abreast with the fast changing world.
As one of the leading elementary schools in the city in terms of quality of education
and its graduates’ performance in the high school level, it commits itself to provide
educational foundation for intellectual, spiritual, moral, physical and social development
of the learners. Part of the efforts to provide quality service, the Elementary
Department, through the support of the administration, puts provision on its physical
development by
|
providing the needed facilities, initiates program and activities beneficial to
learners, and encourage teachers to utilize multi-technology mediated instruction
and innovative strategies, aside from the traditional methods. Over the years, it
continues to strive for greater glory hoping to attain the department’s mission
of developing the total personality of its pupils.
In consonance with the department’s objectives, teachers conduct faculty development
programs and are sent to different seminar-workshops that would enhance their skills
needed to achieve the desired quality of education. Furthermore, they are required
to earn master’s degree in a duly appointed time to be able to become more equipped,
hence, to give more to the children.
