Students obtaining a semestral general average of  1.25 without a grade lower than 1.75 in a load of 18 units or more excluding non-academic subjects (PE or CMT) are granted full scholarships ( 100% free tuition) for the succeeding semester.

This academic scholarship is granted to those first year college students whose general average in five (5) major subjects : English, Science, Social Studies, Math and Filipino, when computed, has an average ranging from 87-89 to receive 50% discount in tuition fee and 100% in tuition fee if the average gained is 90 and above. This is applicable for one semester only.

Procedure:

1. Present your High School card to the counselor in-charge upon enrolment.
2. If qualified, expanded scholarship form will be given for completion.
3. The form will be signed by the counselor in-charge and registrar.
4. Signed form will be presented to the accounting office for processing.
5. Copies of signed form will be given to offices concerned for filing purposes.

Procedure:

1. Initial interview will be given to the applicant by person in-charge
2. Applicant will report to the office for qualifying examination on a set date.
3. Applicant will report to the President’s Office for interview.

Requirements:

1. High School card ( general average 85% and above )
2. Application letter addressed to the President stating the purpose of application.
3. Photocopy of Birth Certificate
4. 1x1 ID photo ( 1 pc.)
5. Long brown envelope

Guidelines for the Selection of Awardees

1. The candidate must be a bonafide resident  of a city, town or barrio in the province of Batangas.
2. The candidate  must have graduated from high school with a general average of at least 85% or its equivalent.
3. The candidate must belong to a family where one or both parents have no fixed income or any taxable real property except the single family dwelling.

4. Candidate must pass the qualifying examination given.

Guidelines for selection:

1. The student should have an average rating of at least 2.0 without any failing grade ( PE and ROTC not included in computation)
2. The student should carry the regular semestral load as indicated in the curriculum, and the minimum load to qualify in the program should be verified thru the Registrar’s Office or the College Dean or Department Director.
3. Regardless of year level, the listing shall be from the highest to lowest and ranking shall prevail in the grant of scholarship.
4. A scholarship, full or partial for one semester shall be in accordance with enrolment size.
5. A student who qualifies for the scholarship grant shall be given refund of the amount paid on tuition fees only.

Criteria:

1. The applicant must be a bonafide student of UB.
2. The general average in high school card must not be lower than 85%.
3. The applicant must pass the interview of the person in-charge.

1. Must submit an application letter addressed to the president of the alumni association.

1. Borrower should be presently enrolled as a 3rd, 4th, or 5th year student
2. He/she possess a general average of 2.5 during the previous semester
3. He/she is not a beneficiary of a full  scholarship  granted  by a third parties.
4. The combined annual income of parents should not exceed P 200,000.00through scholarship

Procedure:

1. The applicant proceeds to accounting office to obtain the application form
2. The filled-out application form is reviewed by the registrar’s office for grade verification of the student
3. The case-officer in the guidance office likewise check the documents if it is complete, then sign it for final approval
4. The document is forwarded to the Office of the VPSEA for signature and approval.
5. Memorandum of agreement is signed for granting of loan.
