Diploma in Midwifery (DMID – 2 Yrs.)
Provide the students with theoretical education in a supportive and caring learning environment
and spend a significant amount of time in gaining midwifery practice experience across a wide
variety of settings including home, hospital and community services. The Department aims to
uphold excellence in Midwifery education and is committed to the task of providing a well-
rounded program that prepares student to practice Midwifery with a high standard proficiency,

- Practice safe and quality care to normal and low risk mother during pregnancy, labor and
puerperium, including newborn, infant and children.

A one year course that equips the student with knowledge in basic nursing care and trainings to
assist the registered nurse with vital signs taking, bedside care excluding any invasive
procedure.
